- Describe wave theory as it relates to imaging and optics-cased ophthalmic equipment
- List and describe the operating purpose of basic and advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment equipment
- Describe and perform standard preventative care for basic and advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment equipment, which can be done without specialized manufacturer training
- Describe and apply standard troubleshooting and maintenance for basic and advanced ophthalmic equipment malfunctions of a mechanical, electrical and/or optical nature, which can be done without specialized manufacturer training
