LiGHT Study: Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) versus eye drops for first-line treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma. The LiGHT study was a multicentre, randomised, controlled trial that recruited consecutive, newly referred patients who were identified at six hospitals across the UK between 2012 and 2014. The study duration was 36-months. Patients had newly diagnosed and untreated glaucoma or ocular hypertension in one or both eyes and were randomized to either primary surgical treatment with 360-degree SLT or to medical therapy alone with glaucoma eye drops.
